thermal effects on doors

Commissioned by Flandria Aluminium Extrusions, vitroplena performed experimental tests to assess the effects of thermal dilatation on sliding doors for greenhouses. The tests resulted in the recommendation to provide extra stiffness in the vertical profiles of the doors to ensure proper closing. 

Thanks to our cooperation with Ghent University, vitroplena offers a wide variety of testing programmes from structural tensile tests on component level to thermal and waterproofing tests at system level.
