Sky Towers - Ostend

The Sky Towers project is a combined residential / office complex at the yacht club in Ostend, with a height of 100 m and a total of 6 km of glazed parapets. As a result of the exposure of wind coming from the sea, the design is governed by the latter with an applicable peak pressure of 1880 Pa!

After Vastgoedgroep Degroote chose an existing parapet system of Aluform, vitroplena re-engineered the whole system from glass to anchors resulting in a safe parapet system, able to withstand the high wind load. A custom made solution, supported by calclation notes.
