design of insulated glass units for a residential project at the heart of London
The heart of London houses a new residential development at the south side of the Thames. The buildings are characterised by large insulation glass units (IGUs) to maximize light entry.
vitroplena performed the engineering calculations and composed the IGUs, accompanied by a calculation note for the client. Through our cutting-edge engineering methodologies, accounting for types of glass, realistic interlayer properties and loading scenarios, and the interaction between inside and outside glass panels in IGUs, a economically optimized and safe design was delivered.
